Transportation & Travel Agency Since 1996

Ecotrans Costa Rica is a local transportation and travel agency based in Playa Flamingo, Guanacaste. Since 1996, we have been helping visitors move safely and comfortably around Costa Rica with private and shared shuttles, Liberia Airport transportation, and custom tours. What began as a small family project has grown into a trusted company for airport transfers, hotel transportation, and day trips across Guanacaste and beyond – always with genuine Costa Rican hospitality and the “Pura Vida” spirit.

Our Story

Ecotrans Costa Rica started in 1996 with one van, a short list of hotels, and a big idea: make transportation simple, friendly, and reliable for travelers. In those early years we focused on airport transfers and hotel shuttles along the North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. 
 
As Liberia International Airport (LIR – Daniel Oduber Quirós) grew, so did we. We added more vehicles, more routes, and more staff, always keeping the same philosophy: safe driving, on-time service, and personal attention to every guest.
 
Today, Ecotrans operates a modern fleet of Toyota Hiace, Coaster, and Mercedes Sprinter Deluxe vans and minibuses. Our team includes professional drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and reservation agents who work together every day to coordinate Liberia Airport shuttles, hotel-to-hotel transfers, tours, and private transportation services for individual travelers, families, and groups.
